Liumchen West FSR - re opened
After hearing that Liumchen West FSR was back open Sarah and I decided to try and make to Liumchen Lake before the snow gets too deep in the sub alpine. Well ... we were a little too late. Things started to get sketchy at about 3000 feet and being completely narrow we had no where to turn around. No chains and on the edge of the mountain I was getting a little worried. After a 75 point turn we were able to get turned around. Once we got back to a safe enough spot I snapped this shot.
After coming down from the snowy FSR we decided to hike Elk Mountain considering we couldn't get to the Liumchen Lake parking lot.
More snow at Elk Mountain, but overall a good fun day.
